Ukraine FAQ:
How are you helping Ukraine?
We have distributed civilian networks of trust on-the-ground who reach across Europe from Berlin and drive into Ukraine. Civilians are our great chain and are more capable of coordinating in a time-sensitive ways and in a direct fashion.
We assist people who need immediate medical aid to leave Ukraine.
We are also working closely with the Polish government to set-up refugee camps.
We have begun to collect up-to-date information on the ground, to order to support the international legal case for asylum seekers, not just from Ukraine, but Belarus and Russia. We see the civilians in these three countries as victims of this war.
Our people are out there driving into the border with Ukraine. 100% of every non-photo donation you make labeled for Ukraine goes to this civilian effort to purchase buses in particular: EU civilians are driving to the border to help people leave and be placed into foster homes in the European Union. ART AGAINST WAR photography proceeds are spent on legal considerations to support refugees to stay in the European Union.
Can I see the effect of my donation?
Yes, where possible you receive photos and testimonials from those who were assisted. Should you desire to help on the ground in Europe we can get you involved and bringing in supplied in these long road trips into the border with Ukraine.
What is Second Foundation’s “Art Against War” effort?
Every photo purchased has an immediate impact.
Art Against War is Second Foundation's effort to save lives, by assisting families in need from Ukraine today. Your donation goes directly to support existing European on-the-ground networks of civilians. Heros who are not just waiting for governments to come around and step in, in order to provide relocation assistance. All funding from us goes towards concrete monetary needs for people: clothing, food stuff, transportation means. For example, our first task is the purchase of several buses for civilians to drive in and out near the border of Ukraine. Thereafter, we safely pair families with young children with temporary foster care into households throughout Europe. We help place refugees into foster homes. There is a long way to go and every donation matters.
We think this is some extremely fun art from the renowned photographer Andre Kezzyn. It takes roughly 5-6 weeks from donation checkout to delivery to your doorstep.
Once you checkout, someone from our organization will be in touch with you in order to coordinate your art's shipment.
